Kyoto 2

5 april 2017 - Kioto, Japan

So, today's schedule was the golden temple, like I said earlier. The actual name of the temple is Kinkaku ji. I actually did not find it to be as impressive as I had heard. The garden was nice, but rather small in comparison.

We had lunch at a university! I did not expect that. Here I tried curry for the first time. We were kind of lucky we could eat here, as this week is orientation week. Everywhere there were groups of kids promoting their clubs.

After that, most of us went back to the hotel, or go do some philosophical walk. But I didn't! I went to another temple, one that was way high up. My feet did object making this trip, but as usual during this adventure, I would not listen to my feet.
There was this little shrine, said that it would grant wishes about love. So I tried my luck once more and if I'd get a girlfriend soon, it would mean I bought one for 10 yen. A real bargain.
They were renovating this big temple here, and I was yet again amazed at the efficiency of the Japanese. Things should be done quickly, not safe, apparently. These men were just climbing racks made of wooden bars, without any safety thingies. They could die by misstepping. This temple was called the water temple by the way. At the end there's a little water... yeah.. I know.

Oh, and cherry blossoms finally started to bloom!
